It looks like the auto update for apps is causing this.. Turn off your auto updates under SETTINGS - iTunes amp; App Store. I ended the AppStore app and the opened it and all the pending apps I had purchased downloaded instantly! On your iPhone, tap App Store Update. Then pull from the top of the content to refresh the page (aka. pull-to-refresh). Check App Store once again and see if it’s downloading apps properly.
